Lara and Luisa (La + Lu) met at university, where their years of study culminated in a joint thesis on the possibility of a carbon-neutral wine cellar. After separate travels abroad, the friends found one another back in Europe, working harvests in France and Italy to enrich their know-how. They started their vineyard collection in 2015 with help from friends in Piemonte, and in 2019 they began their own 3.5ha production. Early in their game, these ladies are already rising stars.

Inaugural vintage! Add this one to the library, especially as it is very small production. 2019 was a warm year throughout Italy, but with the vineyard’s hilltop situation, the grapes weren’t beat by the heat. Classic Barolo cherry notes, quite bright in tone, balanced by licorice and clove, finishing with chalky tannin.

WINE SHIPPING VIA USPS / UPS

The cost of shipping varies depending on which shipping option the buyer selects, as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. 

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
