Colombera & Garella is a small but mighty producer in Alto Piemonte, an area that’s been quietly reclaiming its historical place in the world of Nebbiolo. Run by Giacomo Colombera, his father Carlo, and enologist Cristiano Garella (who has been a driving force behind the region’s renaissance), the winery focuses on crafting wines that express the rugged, mineral-rich terroir of Bramaterra and its neighboring appellations. Their approach is natural and precise—low intervention in the vineyard, spontaneous fermentations, and aging that allows the wines to speak of place rather than process.
We love small independent producers like Colombera & Garella because they bring personality, authenticity, and a real sense of terrior. These aren’t factory-made, predictable bottles; they’re intimate expressions of soil, climate, and the people behind them. There’s also something deeply satisfying about drinking a wine that doesn’t just reflect a style but a philosophy—a belief in tradition, sustainability, and the purest form of winemaking.
The Bramaterra Cascina Cottignano Bramaterra 2019 is a masterclass in Piemont’s untamed elegance, with an iron-tinged core wrapped in tart cherry, wild raspberry, and dried rose. Its firm but fine-grained tannins and electric acidity bring a sense of energy, while layers of graphite, herb, and smoky spice add depth. A beautifully structured wine that balances power and finesse, it rewards patience and sings with a long decant. Refined, terroir-driven, and built to evolve.

We do our best to have all orders placed BEFORE NOON delivered SAME DAY. All orders placed after noon, will be delivered the next day. Cincinnati orders over $150 in certain areas will receive FREE DELIVERY. Delivery distances defined by zip codes. See delivery zones below.

WINE SHIPPING VIA COMMON CARRIER
Hart & Cru is happy to engage the services of a common carrier on behalf of you/the customer. However, upon purchase, ownership of and title to all alcoholic beverages passes from Hart & Cru to you/the buyer in the State of Ohio. In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations lies with the customer. By placing an order on this site and selecting shipping, you authorize Hart & Cru to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you.
All ‘Ground Shipping’ orders placed after 12pm on Wednesday will be shipped on Monday the following week in order to avoid bottles being held in non-temperature controlled facilities over the weekend. Orders placed before noon with 2-Day Air selected will be shipped the same day or on the date requested. We are happy to store your order for you until you are able to receive delivery. Please include note specifying desired ship date or reach out to us at thecru@hartandcru.com for any other requests.
The cost of shipping varies depending on which shipping option the buyer selects, as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate shipping rates will be calculated at checkout.
All orders will be sent with a 21+ signature as is legally required. The carrier delivering your order will be unable to leave the package on your front door, back porch, etc. without sign-off. Please ensure someone is home to receive. In the event that a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge the purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
