Domaine Arnaud Lambert, spearheaded by Arnaud himself, was established through the merger of two labels in 2017: Domaine de Saint-Just (his family domaine within the Saumur-Champigny appellation) and Château de Brézé (a historic Saumur estate with an enviable collection of vineyards that the Lamberts signed a twenty-five year contract starting with in 2009.) Through his vinification of individual plots, such as Clos David, Arnaud highlights the diversity of soils and individual sites within the Saumur appellations. His farming is all done biodynamically and his winemaking champions minimal intervention techniques. 

Planted on tuffeau limestone bedrock with topsoil composition of sedimentary and alluvial depositions, Clos David shows off the intense minerality of the terroir. Harvested by hand and pressed whole cluster for 4.5 hours. The juice is then fermented in in 50% in 30hl foudre (bought in 2012) and 50% in 2-3 year old French oak barrels.

We do our best to have all orders placed BEFORE NOON delivered SAME DAY. All orders placed after noon, will be delivered the next day. Cincinnati orders over $150 in certain areas will receive FREE DELIVERY. Delivery distances defined by zip codes. See delivery zones below.

WINE SHIPPING VIA COMMON CARRIER

Hart & Cru is happy to engage the services of a common carrier on behalf of you/the customer. However, upon purchase, ownership of and title to all alcoholic beverages passes from Hart & Cru to you/the buyer in the State of Ohio. In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations lies with the customer. By placing an order on this site and selecting shipping, you authorize Hart & Cru to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you. 


All ‘Ground Shipping’ orders placed after 12pm on Wednesday will be shipped on Monday the following week in order to avoid bottles being held in non-temperature controlled facilities over the weekend. Orders placed before noon with 2-Day Air selected will be shipped the same day or on the date requested. We are happy to store your order for you until you are able to receive delivery. Please include note specifying desired ship date or reach out to us at thecru@hartandcru.com for any  other requests. 


The cost of shipping varies depending on which shipping option the buyer selects, as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

All orders will be sent with a 21+ signature as is legally required.  The carrier delivering your order will be unable to leave the package on your front door, back porch, etc. without sign-off. Please ensure someone is home to receive. In the event that a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge the purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
