Variety: Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris

Sylvain Pataille is in every way nontraditional and unconventional. As each harvest is different from the previous; subsequently, he embraces the challenge of making each wine different. He is one of the most secretly talented farmers and winemakers in all of Burgundy. The village of Marsannay is home to his vineyard holdings, a place that he personally has brought more notoriety.

This is by no means ordinary rosé. The Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris vines come from vines about 70 to 90 years old. The rose is more saturated in color, almost like a light red. The Fleur de Pinot is wildly small in its production. Pataille’s wines are small production, increasingly difficult to find, and just crazy value.
