Variety: Sangiovese, Merlot and Syrah

Tenuta di Valgiano is by no means a new estate or producer, though they are new to Ohio as of summer 2023. The Cru visited this property and were immediately charmed by winemaker Laura di Collobiano and partner Moreno Petrini. Their property is located in Lucca, the coastal part of Tuscany, which is lushly adorned with forests and vines. While the duo make Sangiovese, they also grow international varieties like Merlot and Syrah. “Practical biodynamic” farming is by and large at the forefront of their terroir-driven wines. In addition to wine, Valgiano makes delicious wild honey and extra virgin olive oil which we’re lucky enough to get our hands on. 

This is a more grownup version of the Palistorti Rosso, though these vines are a bit older with the oldest planted in the 1950s. The wine is aged in both oak and cement. Only 8000 bottles of this are produced annually and it's achieved the "Tre Bicchieri" award more than a dozen times!

WINE SHIPPING VIA USPS / UPS

The cost of shipping varies depending on which shipping option the buyer selects, as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. 

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
