Not literally of course, but his wines and ciders are lean, crisp and transparent. These bottlings gleam with a sharp edge and show remarkable power while the wines are often sitting around 10% ABV. Grapes grown in primarily sandstone and limestone enable an austerity that paradoxically frees Vetter to play without boundaries.
