Remi Jobard, Monthelie Blanc 1er Cru 'Les Champs Fulliots' 2022

This property Valerie and I visited for the first time in 2010 and we have been drinking the wines ever since. The Jobard name is a powerful one in Meursault, and Remi took full control of this estate in 1996 from his father. When this transition took place, he found himself taking over Meursault and Puligny-based Bourgogne Blancs. The domaine has not used herbicides or pesticides since 1994; they are certified organic. Tasting these wines are a "sensual tour of rock and vine."
Coming from a lieu-dit that is a continuation of Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Chênes, at a 250m elevation. Aged in 50% barrique (12% new), 50% in large older foudre.
