Louis Barruol is, in fact, the 16th generation to take hold of the family domain located in the southern Rhone valley. His family holds two estates in the Rhone—Syrah from the North and Grenache-based wines from the South. The man stays busy, continuing to forge relationships with incredible farmers, but most notably American importer, Kermit Lynch. He saw the value of these wines long before anyone out the country would have noticed and went with his gut. Producing small production Syrahs each year, he certainly holds his pride for traditionally made Syrah very high.

This is a unique collaboration between Louis Barruol and Kermit Lynch. Every year, Kermit arrives to assist in the final blend. For 2016, the result blended 12 different barrels coming from six sites across Cote Rotie. The fruit comes from vines about 30-50 years.

WINE SHIPPING VIA USPS / UPS

The cost of shipping varies depending on which shipping option the buyer selects, as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. 

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
