Chantal Lescure was begun in 1975 by Chantal and her husband Xavier. They claimed 18 hectares of land strewn throughout across Chambolle-Musigny in the Cote de Nuits and the Volnay in Cote de Beaune. Today their two sons coordinate the running of the estate. The Domaine takes organic farming very seriously, as they have been practicing full organics since 2000; they're even certified by Ecocert.

This Volnay comes from 50+ year old vines. It spends 18 months in barrel, some of it new. This drinks well now in its youth, though could definitely use more cellar time. Decant prior to drinking to allow this beauty to open up.

WINE SHIPPING

The cost of shipping varies depending on what shipping option buyer selects as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate UPS shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. 

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
