Sharpen your pencils and ready your palates. SUNDAY SCHOOL with the Cru is back, and for the first time ever, we’re heading to Burgundy. Few wine regions have shaped the way we think about place quite like this stretch of eastern France, where generations of growers have spent centuries understanding the differences between vineyards sometimes separated by only a stone wall.
The vineyards of Burgundy trace their history through Roman cultivation, medieval monasteries, and centuries of careful observation. Today, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir remain at the center of the region, but Burgundy is ultimately a story of terroir: limestone and marl, slope and exposure, village and vineyard, all expressed through an incredibly detailed system of regional, village, Premier Cru, and Grand Cru wines.
For our first-ever Burgundy Sunday School, we’ll break down what makes this region both endlessly fascinating and notoriously complicated. We’ll travel through its villages and vineyards, explore the history behind the classifications, and taste wines that show just how dramatically Burgundy can change from one site to the next.
As always, expect plenty of wine, stories, questions, and a deeper understanding of what’s in your glass.

Due to the limited number of seats available for each class, we cannot offer refunds on tickets. We will do our best to offer your seats to our waiting list and are happy to issue a refund once the seats have been filled.

WINE SHIPPING WITHIN THE UNITED STATES
Hart & Cru is happy to engage the services of a common carrier on behalf of you/the customer. However, upon purchase, ownership of and title to all alcoholic beverages passes from Hart & Cru to you/the buyer in the State of Ohio. In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations lies with the customer. By placing an order on this site and selecting shipping, you authorize Hart & Cru to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you.
All ‘Ground Shipping’ orders placed after 12pm on Wednesday will be shipped on Monday the following week in order to avoid bottles being held in non-temperature controlled facilities over the weekend. Orders placed before noon with 2-Day Air selected will be shipped the same day or on the date requested. We are happy to store your order for you until you are able to receive delivery. Please include note specifying desired ship date or reach out to us at thecru@hartandcru.com for any other requests.
The cost of shipping varies depending on which shipping option the buyer selects, as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate shipping rates will be calculated at checkout.
All orders will be sent with a 21+ signature as is legally required. The carrier delivering your order will be unable to leave the package on your front door, back porch, etc. without sign-off. Please ensure someone is home to receive. In the event that a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge the purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
