HEALTHY PRACTICES & HELPING OUT
On the news, in your social feeds, in your inbox, we’re all talking about COVID-19 and best practices to stay healthy and limit the spread of the virus. And we should be.
But I’m also thinking in particular about two groups close to my heart who will be deeply impacted: school children and hospitality industry employees. Below are ways HART & CRU is approaching health & safety and providing support for those who need us more than ever.
-Kevin O. Hart
If You’re Staying Home
As much as we typically love to socialize, we support social distancing and self-quarantining when necessary. The Cru is offering free delivery on all wine orders inside the I-275 loop in Ohio and can drop off at your door. Your orders support our small business and the many small businesses who produce and distribute the juice you love.
If You Want to Help School Children
Many children across the U.S.—including at Rothenberg Preparatory Academy, an inner-city public school in Cincinnati for those who live in low-income housing—rely on school lunches. As schools close, parents who work hourly jobs are struggling to find childcare, too. Let’s help these kids get the nutrition they need.
Kevin has spoken with Rothenberg and will be accepting donations through the button below to provide healthy food at no charge to these children. HART & CRU will write a check to the school for 100% of the donations received.
If You Want to Support Local Restaurants & Employees
The latest recommendations are for small groups and limited gathering in public spaces. Many restaurants are serving food-to-go and need our support. Tipped and hourly employees (including lots of our dear friends) are already experiencing reduced income, and won’t receive support from proposed government subsidies. If you can, please still tip with your order. Below are a few ideas on how you can eat and drink to show the industry you care.
