It is hard to believe we are at the end of another year together, cheers! This has become a fun tradition at every year-end, where we share a new favorite sparkling wine, historically from France and Italy, with this years selection coming from Spain. Please use this bottle to cheers to those you love and appreciate this holiday season.

The WINE
ALTA ALELLA - Celler De Les Aus

A favorite of Hart & Cru, this family-run winery out of Barcelona is making approachable, honest wines with a touch of wit. Husband and wife Josef and Cristina, along with their two daughters, have dedicated their lives to the wine of Alta Alella - Celler De Les Aus.
Surrounded by vineyards and bottles, they have developed a complete commitment to nature.
Though the winery is young, the family continually pushes themselves to learn new things with each vintage, seeking knowledge, passion, and perseverance. Going against the norms of Cava, this bottling uses only the Pansa Blanca grape, otherwise known as Xarel·lo. Typically a blended and manufactured wine for most producers in the region, Alta Alella goes against this, crafting their wine in the traditional method without any added sugar or sulfites. Privileged with excellent terroir, their vineyards are planted in the best sandy granitic soil, which really gets to shine here.
