Variety: Muscat d’Alexandrie, Terret Gris

Benjamin Taillandier represents the idea that with hard work and an inspired mind, you can create whatever your dream is. In this story, Benjamin became inspired after working under Jean Baptiste Senat, standing out after having worked with conventional winemaking. The appellation of Minervois was his hometown and so he set up his work there. Minervois is known for its big, alcoholic wines, often which are mass-produced. Benjamin sought to change this mentality, bringing a sense of grace and elegance to his wines. They’re lively and fresh, which reiterate his mantra “Minervois vin de soif,” otherwise known as “thirsty wine.”

These are 50 year old vines coming from within the miniscule area of Minervois. The fruit sees three weeks of skin contact, a style traditional to this area of the Mediterranean coast. The wine ages for nine months in neutral barrels before it is released.
