Jeremie Huchet is the next in line to carry on the family legacy started 4 generations ago. This transition happened in 2001 and his first step of action was acquiring more top tier vineyards plots around Nantes and converting them all to organic. The dedication of capturing the coastal influence of the Atlantic and showcasing that Muscadet can be everything from Parisian cafe wine to serious vibrant and elegant wine. To do this, everything comes down to the work in the vines. Jeremie is known for the amount of time he spends walking the parcels, having eyes on his vines to understand and highlight growth year after year. The cellar is full of concrete, both glass-lined buried in the earth and eggs for a natural sur-lie movement.

Jeremie is also one of the voices pushing for cru communal appellations within the region. This bottling of ‘Les Montys le Parc’ is from the cru Château-Thébau famed for its deep granite soils that are covered with a sandy-loam. These soils are igneous rocks that are incredibly dark in color and found deep on the ocean floor crust. It is unique that they are on the surface here in Nantes and difficult to duplicate anywhere else in the world.
