Catherine et Pierre Breton, Bourgueil 'Trinch!' 2022Regular price $35.00 Save $-35.00
Variety: Cabernet Franc
As the wine world talks about Catherine and Pierre Breton, one will hear them referenced as "real life bon vivants vignerons." I love this description so much as it perfectly captures the soul of this married couple. From the beginning, they have truly wanted to have fun in life and to make unadulterated natural wines long before the hipness of the natural wine scene took hold. Recently, they started the three-year process of seeking biodynamic certification. In fact, they have become international icons for the natural wine movement in an area where the climate and soil can make organic practices difficult. They are based in Bourgueil in the Loire Valley and have an impressive spread of vineyards ranging in soils and vine age. One might say the innovative couple is well ahead of the game and doing it with charm and grace.
Trinch is named in honor of a German phrase meaning “cheers.” Keeping in the same spirit, this is a young vine softer Cabernet Franc meant to be drunk right away.
Kofererhof, Alto Adige Valle Isarco Kerner 2022Regular price $28.00 Save $-28.00
The Kofererhof estate has existed for over 850 years in the Sudtirol area of northern Italy, The winery didn’t start bottling its fruit until just 1995; before this, the fruit was always sold. The Kerschbaumer family has managed the winery for several generations in this area that’s more Austrian at heart than Italian. The family just have a few hectares of vineyards located between the Dolomite mountains at staggering altitudes of 700 to 800 meters. With this height, there is little choice but to harvest the grapes here by hand. Farming practices are organic in nature. The Kofererhof wines are incredible quality and limited quantities are made each year.
The Kerner variety is German by nature, but most of it is only exported from the Alto Adige region. It is one of the many children of Riesling, who paired up with Schiava—a German red variety—making for a lean and savory style.

Maxime understands that learning from the greats of the wine world gives you an unprecedented knowledge of the vineyard and winemaking, hence his time spent training with the famed Jean Foillard in Morgon. Truly a naturalist at heart, his wines show the terrior -- pure rock and garrigue, wild herbs and shrubs -- that covers this part of France.
Fabbrica, Pienza Tinia 2020Regular price $50.00 Save $-50.00
While Tuscany is known for its Sangiovese, Fabbrica has pushed the envelope of Tuscany’s capabilities as soon as it was founded in 2013. In the Val d’Orcia in eastern Tuscany, the soils and climates are more aligned with that of the Rhone Valley. The hilly part of the village of Pienza recalls those of the southern Rhone while the soils there are a reminder of the northern Rhone. The direction of Fabbrica is one of exploration and curiosity.
