Ottaviano Lambruschi is a renowned figure in Ligurian winemaking, rooted deeply in the hills of Castelnuovo Magra, in the Colli di Luni appellation of northwestern Italy. The Lambruschi family has cultivated these vineyards for generations, with Ottaviano himself taking the helm in the mid-20th century, gradually transforming the estate into one of the region’s benchmarks for Vermentino. His approach is anchored in a respect for local tradition and a precise, hands-on viticultural practice that reflects both his family heritage and the unique coastal-terroir influences of the Ligurian landscape. The estate remains family-run, with a close attention to the individuality of each plot and the natural rhythms of the vines.

The wine is produced from hand-harvested grapes grown on hillside vineyards composed primarily of clay and limestone soils. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures to preserve varietal purity and freshness. Following fermentation, the wine is aged on fine lees for a short period, enhancing its structure and complexity without the use of oak. The entire vinification process emphasizes clarity, balance, and an unadorned expression of the Vermentino grape, reflective of its origin in the Colli di Luni DOC. Bottling occurs a few months after harvest, ensuring the wine captures the vitality of the vintage.
