Variety: Pinot Noir
Anthill Farms is a group of three friends who went against all the odds to start a winery in California. They didn’t have tons of money nor were they born into the business. They were cellar rats, the guys moving hoses and cleaning floors, for some pretty significant wineries, Williams Selyem being the most influential. However, while still quite young, the three decided to pull together a tiny amount of cash and start making wine at a crushpad winemaking facility. Before long the wines had a cult following and I have been drinking them ever since.

Matthiasson, Chardonnay "Michael Mara Vineyard" 2016Regular price $70.00 Save $-70.00
Steve Matthiasson is a California pioneer. Daring to break Napa tradition, Steve and his wife Jill have planted rare, ancient Italian grapes including Ribolla Gialla and Refosco in their home vineyard – definitely worth an experimental try! As farmers, Steve and Jill recognize that Napa loves Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and all the well-known international grapes. A Matthiasson tasting experience, laid out on the picnic table that separates their home from the winemaking operation (with their dog and at least one son stopping by!) shows instantly how the couple reveres the place they farm together. The Linda Vista vineyard is just across the creek behind their home – according to Steve, one of the classic Chardonnay spots in Napa.
