Lieu Dit is the project of longtime friends Justin Willett and Eric Railsback, built around a shared focus on coastal California sites and classic European varieties. Their partnership was formed over years of working in wine together, shaped by travel, harvests abroad, and a shared respect for restrained, site-driven wines. Their work with Melon de Bourgogne is intentional, drawing a direct line to its origins in the Loire while letting the California coastline reshape the expression.
Blanc de Mer reflects that idea clearly. It is driven by ocean air, restrained fruit, and a saline edge that feels tied to place rather than process. A wine that leans into precision and quiet energy. The vineyards sit within reach of constant marine influence, where fog and wind slow ripening and preserve acidity. That environment shapes a wine that feels measured and deliberate, more about clarity than volume. Their collaboration is built on a shared restraint, allowing vineyard character to lead rather than cellar influence.
Sourced from coastal vineyards in Santa Barbara County, heavily influenced by Pacific winds and fog. Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and early picked Chenin Blanc fermented in stainless steel with native yeast. Aged on lees without oak!

WINE SHIPPING WITHIN THE UNITED STATES
Hart & Cru is happy to engage the services of a common carrier on behalf of you/the customer. However, upon purchase, ownership of and title to all alcoholic beverages passes from Hart & Cru to you/the buyer in the State of Ohio. In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations lies with the customer. By placing an order on this site and selecting shipping, you authorize Hart & Cru to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you.
All ‘Ground Shipping’ orders placed after 12pm on Wednesday will be shipped on Monday the following week in order to avoid bottles being held in non-temperature controlled facilities over the weekend. Orders placed before noon with 2-Day Air selected will be shipped the same day or on the date requested. We are happy to store your order for you until you are able to receive delivery. Please include note specifying desired ship date or reach out to us at thecru@hartandcru.com for any other requests.
The cost of shipping varies depending on which shipping option the buyer selects, as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate shipping rates will be calculated at checkout.
All orders will be sent with a 21+ signature as is legally required. The carrier delivering your order will be unable to leave the package on your front door, back porch, etc. without sign-off. Please ensure someone is home to receive. In the event that a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge the purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
