Riccardo Zanotto is not just a winemaker, but a person who thrives on the stories of the past, and the experiences of tasting the wine as you drink. He makes a conscious choice not to own his own vineyards in Veneto, but rather entrusts the vine growing to others who know best. His project is a multitude of sparkling wines from the Veneto region, white and red, classic and not, in natural ways that allow the grapes to shine and the drinker to enjoy.

While Rosso Col Fondo is an ancestral method sparkling red, it does undergo two fermentations, the first in the tank, and the second in the bottle. Here ”Col Fondo” means “the bottom,” but just means a lightly sparkling wine that’s been aged on its lees. Using mostly the Marzemino grape that brings acidity, and Cabernet Sauvignon, which brings structure, this juicy sparkling red aims to please.

WINE SHIPPING VIA USPS / UPS

The cost of shipping varies depending on which shipping option the buyer selects, as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. 

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
