Historically, Barolo wine was a volume wine, often using as much fruit as possible sourced from multiple vineyards. Alfredo was one of the first to make a Barolo cru wine—that is sourcing all the fruit from one vineyard. He was also responsible for the rediscovery of the Arneis variety, which was almost extinct. Alfredo and Luciana began traveling overseas in the 1960s and were one of the first wineries in that area to export to America. Their son and his wife, Luca and Elene Currado, continue to add more crus to the Vietti label, and now make several white and red wines each vintage.

This Barbera is a single vineyard, a rare breed in the wine world today.
