Variety: 45% Pinot Noir, 45% Pinot Meunier, 10% Chardonnay 

Farming just 2.5 hectares, fully converted to organics in 2012, young farmer/ winemaker Thomas has a strong foothold in tradition. He weaves his understanding of it into his outlook on the future of the region, as well into his own approach. Like the man himself, the wines are full of honest charm. Production is between 12-15,000 bottles per year, and aged in barrel, the wines boast a richness in the glass without losing any lift. 

Tradition is a blend of all three of the main Champagne varieties from Premier Cru villages in Reims. 30% of the juice is aged in barrels. While this is marked as a non-vintage wine, all the fruit comes from 2012 and does not get disgorged until December of 2020—that’s about eight years on the lees!

WINE SHIPPING VIA USPS / UPS

The cost of shipping varies depending on which shipping option the buyer selects, as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. 

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
