Even though Jean-Claude passed away in 2008, his three children have since tackled the present job in full force with the nurturing care from their mother. Chardonnay is the exclusive white variety, though they also plant Gamay and Pinot Noir. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eLes Clos comes from a south-facing lieu-dit in Bussières, planted to\u003cstrong\u003e \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e100% Pinot Noir\u003cspan\u003e on gently sloping, predominantly clay soils. The sunny exposure helps the grapes ripen early, while the wine is fermented with regular mixing of the grapes and juice to build structure and extract color. It is then aged without oak, keeping the focus on the fruit and the character of the vineyard.
