Stolpman Vineyards, El Padrino De La Cuadrilla Ballard Canyon 2019 MAGNUMRegular price $75.00 Save $-75.00
Variety: Syrah, Sangiovese, & Grenache
Founded over 20 years ago by Tom Stolpman when he discovered hidden in the hills of California’s Central Coast a rare limestone outcropping unobstructed from the Pacific Ocean wind which became part of the now famous Ballard Canyon AVA. The winery is currently run by son Pete Stolpman and his wife Jessica. Known for employing their own crew "La Quadrilla", the vineyards are maintained only by hand with care and dedication.
The La Cuadrilla label and project was an experiment spearheaded by Ruben Solorzano, vineyard manager, to give back to the year-round vineyard workers, something rare in the wine world. The project gave small vineyard blocks to the team to learn about the vine's life cycle and take pride in the work. Profits from these bottles go directly back to the vineyard team to increase the quality of life and family savings.
*The best "reserve" lot of the greater Cuadrilla cuvee. Only bottled in 1.5L magnums to prolong the life of this well-structured, age-worthy red blend.
