SRC is a small family operation that started in just 2013. Amazingly, the wines are low-production and have just recently become available here in Ohio. It is the force of husband and wife duo, Rori and Cinzia, as well as their daughter, Sandra. This is how SRC gets its name—an acronym of all their names. The project began as a small plot of land of just 0.5 hectares that Rori purchased as a surprise for Cinzia, one that went over rather well as the family continued acquiring land. The identity of Etna comes through in each of SRC’s wines where they showcase the ancient low-yielding vines, the volcanic soils, and the charming Mediterranean spirit. The family uses a careful hand in the cellar, allowing the fruit to shine—no sulfur and minimal oak ageing. We agree with many who say these wines are truly representative of their sense of place more so than any other place in the world. 

This Bianco is made from the traditional Carricante with the addition of Grecanico (known as Garganega in northern Italy.) The vines are 50 to 70 years in age from black sandy soils on the north side of Etna. The winemaking is minimal, with the fruit undergoing 12 hours of maceration which is fairly common for these varieties. The lightly grippy tannin adds complexity while imparting texture and increasing its ageing potential.

We do our best to have all orders placed BEFORE NOON delivered SAME DAY. All orders placed after noon, will be delivered the next day. Cincinnati orders over $150 in certain areas will receive FREE DELIVERY. Delivery distances defined by zip codes. See delivery zones below.

WINE SHIPPING VIA USPS / UPS

The cost of shipping varies depending on which shipping option the buyer selects, as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. 

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
