The story behind Sesti is a remarkable one, as the founding family are first generation winemakers with no roots in winemaking. Giugi Sesti and his wife, Sarah, both had interests outside of the wine world, though the hills of Tuscany inevitably called their names. There they purchased an abandoned site including the property and castle of Argiano. Before Giugi became interested in wine, he had studying astronomy, which he was later able to apply to his practice of biodynamic farming where the lunar calendar was used. Sesti used a natural form of farming from the get-go. The concept of low-intervention winemaking allowed the elegance of their wines to shine. Elisa drives the next generation of winemaking, keeping the Sesti approach traditional and focused as ever.

The Sesti Brunello is Sangiovese coming from 20 year old vineyards planted to oceanic sediment. It ages in oak for 39 months followed by one year of bottle aging before its release.

WINE SHIPPING VIA USPS / UPS

The cost of shipping varies depending on which shipping option the buyer selects, as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. 

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
