Jean-Marie Rimbert was born in Provence, though he didn’t have a background in winemaking, rather as an agriculturist. He’s been making wine for about 40 years as a humble servant of the earth in the Saint Chinian appellation of the Languedoc. He’s been managing the vineyards organically since 2003. His purpose in doing this is not to affect the quality of the wine; instead he wants to maintain the vineyards in a way that doesn’t alter the environment. “I’m in it for the long term.”
This rose is for the people who don’t have a pool and need that refreshment! The sun-tanned pig drives the point home that you need this wine during the hot summer months. This rose sits on the skins for just 36 hours to give its beautiful pink color. It then ages in stainless steel that is half submerged in the earth to keep the wine as close to cellar temperature as possible.
