Corrado Dottori is the founder of this winery avidly going against the grain of society’s norms. After a career in finance, he and his wife returned to his family home where they opened an agriturismo in the coastal region of La Marche. While it is typical to make varietal wines in this region, Corrado finds that blending fruit from a single site makes a better case in expressing the land. He works organically, encouraging the biodiversity of living things, reinforced by his six hectares of grains, olive trees and vegetable garden. 

This is the only red wine La Distesa makes. Instead of appealing to international tastes, Corrado looks to make wines that best represent his homeland. The wine ages in French oak for one year, and just a touch of sulfur is added during winemaking.

WINE SHIPPING VIA USPS / UPS

The cost of shipping varies depending on which shipping option the buyer selects, as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. 

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
