After a decade of restaurant work, Eric returned to Santa Barbara to start his own project, Lieu Dit, inspired by the Loire. Older brother Lyle had also worn many hats in the industry, ultimately landing a job for one of the most esteemed importers Kermit Lynch, leading regional sales. After leading separate lives for some time, the brothers both felt a calling to merge their two paths, which is how Railsback Frères came to be born.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eRoman Ceremony is a recent project from Railsback that began as a small project for a Michelin starred restaurant, though with its success grew to 1000 case production. Fruit comes from two vineyards suited to Bordeaux varieties with its gravelly loam and clay. The fruit was harvested early, yielding a more elegant style Cabernet.
