Working in the cellar almost from the time he could walk, he is now the 13th generation of his family making wine. Even though Girardin senior sold the domain in 2011, he kept 4.5 hectares of his best plots to pass on to Pierre. Beyond the domain wines, Pierre continues to purchase from growers who share the same views.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003e \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e‘Eclat de Calcaire’ comes from vines in the Pommard appellation made from “limestone shards.” This comes from three different lieu dits in Meursault, 1 lieu dit in Pommard and 1 lieu dit in Volnay. One might even go so far to call this wine \"baby Meursalt\" do its roots.
