The two brothers, Francis and Paul, both made the same wine in the same facility, but under their own names. The entire purpose of this was for the brothers to each have their own name on their wines. Eventually, the French government intervened and declared the production needed to be separated. Pascal and Francois, both the sons of the original brothers, thus decided to separate their winemaking facilities. Pascal opted to make his own new facilities and subsequently makes unique wines that are slightly riper and more minerally than his brother’s. The sites used are the most prized spots in Sancerre.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003e“La Grand Côte” means the big coast reiterating the incredibly steep hillsides.
