Variety: Trebbiano and Malvasia

The estate is located just outside of the famed tower city of San Gimignano on the western border of the Chianti zone in Tuscany. The estate dates back to Roman times and there are stories of the Knights Templar utilizing the property for meetings and ceremonies. Elisabetta and her husband bought the property in the 60’s, bringing it back to life from its abandoned state. The couples’ profound respect for the land has always been the focus—farming sustainably and using what nature gives them every vintage. Elisabetta’s soul is caring and driven. She is a hard worker, and her mission is to leave this small place on earth better than the way she found it. She still travels the world pouring her wines telling stories.

Elisabetta continues to tell stories with this wine. With the popularity of the Vernaccia variety, the production of Malvasia and Trebbiano for white wine production faded, though they both are sometimes blended into Chianti wines. This was the style of the peasants that once lived in San Gimignano. The wine is aged in stainless steel before it ages in the bottle, then is released.

WINE SHIPPING VIA USPS / UPS

The cost of shipping varies depending on which shipping option the buyer selects, as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. 

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
