Chateau Pichon Longueville is one of the great Bordeaux houses which was part of the original 1855 classification, though the estate itself originated back during the late 17th century. Pichon was classified as a Second Growth during that time with its vineyards within the appellation of Pauillas, part of the Left Bank. With its historic past, the chateau has changed hands just twice. The first family of Pichon Baron owned this property for over 200 years. The property was divided at some point, becoming Pichon Longueville and Pichon Comtesse. This estate continues to be one of the most prestigious Bordeaux houses today.

This wine is named for the “Tourelles,” otherwise known as the small turrets that have flagged the chateau. The wine is one of the second wines of the domaine. Unlike the first wine, which is Cabernet driven, this is Merlot driven and meant to be consumed slightly earlier.

WINE SHIPPING

The cost of shipping varies depending on what shipping option buyer selects as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate UPS shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. 

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
