Julien Altaber is the face behind this winery located in St. Aubin in the region of the Cote de Beaune. Wine was an early interest for him as his first harvest was at the ripe age of 16. Nearby were the Maconnais and Beaujolais regions where he did several internships, eventually settling in with the Derain couple who took Julien under his wing. There he learned the steps of organic and biodynamic farming. Supplied with the necessary tools, he began Domaine Sextant, which includes both his winery and cellar in St. Aubin. Today he makes his own wines while continuing his work for Domaine Derain. His style is relatively progressive for Burgundy as he makes wine in a natural way.

The wine’s name means “the flower in the glass.” This is Chardonnay from a parcel in the Montbellet commune in the Macon region of Burgundy. The vines are 20 years old. Unique for Burgundy is the 6-10 days of skin contact that this wine undergoes. The wine ages for nine months in barrels before release.

WINE SHIPPING VIA USPS / UPS

The cost of shipping varies depending on which shipping option the buyer selects, as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. 

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
