Julian’s winemaking journey goes hand in hand with his rigorous focus of continuing to better himself. His first plot was adjacent to the grand cru site Ohligsberg. He then continued to purchase more vines in Goldtröpfchen and Schubertslay, both considered “grand cru” sites. Included in one of these sites is a bit of 100-year-old vines that are ungrafted. The wines are an ode to the style of Klaus Peter Keller who has been penned as creating “German Montrachets” according to Jancis Robinson.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eThis Riesling comes from 25-year-old vines in the grand cru site of Goldtröpfchen. This wine got its name from its 1000 liter foudre barrel that the wine was aged inside.
