Jean-Baptiste only just began in 1995. As a first generation winemaker in France, it comes as a slight surprise that Jean-Baptiste Senat could start a domain with nothing. It is possible to do this in the Languedoc region where appellation laws are looser and the region’s wines don’t command exorbitant price tags. It is clear that Jean-Baptiste was heavily inspired by many influences in the village of Minervois, as he is now a leading pioneer in an area that never quite gained the reputation that other regions in France certainly have.

This is a blend of everything that is Grenache–blanc, gris, and noir. When done in this style, it is uniquely both a pale red and a dark rose. The wine was aged in steel and bottled only in mid-February!

WINE SHIPPING VIA USPS / UPS

The cost of shipping varies depending on which shipping option the buyer selects, as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. 

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
