Due to injuries post WWI, he left Paris to retire in the beautiful countryside of Vouvray in the Loire Valley. There he bought his first vineyard, Le Haut-Lieu, which would be the first of many of his great sites. He and his son, Gaston, helped to continue the Huet legacy by incorporating wines made from two additional “Grand Cru” vineyards, Le Mont and Clos du Bourg. The Huet generation today carries on the tradition of excellence in several styles: sparkling, sec, demi-sec, and dessert wines. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003e“Le Mont” is another of the famous Vouvray Grand Cru vineyards. This site produces more mineral-driven wines than the other Huet wines. The wine goes to age between older barrels and in tanksEven though this is the “sweetest” of the three wines done in the Vouvray Sec style, the almost tannic style is seemingly even more dry.
