Entering into the wine world after deciding to breakaway from his family's construction business in Campania, Guido Marsella decided to settle his estate in Summonte, a high elevation, hilly area in the Avellino DOCG. The estate, which spans around 25 hectares, has dedicated only 8 of those to grapes, most of which are planted with Fiano. Having been raised in the region, Guido set out with a memory of Fiano before mass production lowered its quality, and the goal to create world class wines that would help restore the grape to its former glory and esteem. Practicing organic, all harvesting is carried out by hand to ensure grape quality. 

The estate surrounding his modest winery facility in Summonte consists entirely of Fiano vines that were planted in 1990. Located in the highest altitude area of Avellino, the vineyard is comprised mostly of rocky-volcanic soils with a limestone-clay subsoil. The elevation and soil structure are a combination of factors that Marsella believes is key to making a good Fiano.

We do our best to have all orders placed BEFORE NOON delivered SAME DAY. All orders placed after noon, will be delivered the next day. Cincinnati orders over $150 in certain areas will receive FREE DELIVERY. Delivery distances defined by zip codes. See delivery zones below.

WINE SHIPPING VIA USPS / UPS

The cost of shipping varies depending on which shipping option the buyer selects, as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. 

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
