Both her persona and her wines are playful and elegant, yet serious and purposeful. She took over the Foradori estate in Trentino at the age of 20 when her father passed. In the area of Campo Rotaliano, the production of the Teroldego variety had become largely industrial using the dominant clone. She fought long and hard to diversify this variety so that the true colors of the Teroldego could show. Though her farming began conventionally, it grew from certified organic to certified biodynamic. Initially her winemaking was more heavy handed, though now it has a lighter touch with the usage of large barrels and clay amphorae. It’s clear that her name is not going anywhere.

Granato is an ode to another red fruit that grows in Italy—the pomegranate, which is also “garnet” in color. This is the wine that originally put Elizabetta Foradori on the international wine map. This wine has seen a drastic shift in its farming and winemaking over the years and we feel that currently it's better than ever!
