Pierre Boillot inherited the domain from his father, Lucien, for whom the domain is named, and his grandfather. Pierre and his brother worked together for some time, but after parting ways, split up the family holdings. Pierre is a rarity in Burgundy—not only does he have vineyards in both Côtés-des-Nuits and Côtés-des-Beaunes, he is a master of skill in all holdings. The more control he’s taken over the estate, the more his skill has evolved. Even though the original cellar is located in Gevrey-Chambertin, he has managed to maintain a rigorous revitalization in all the soils and vines. Every subregion of vines he represents is a classic representation of them. This is a classic representation of Gevrey-Chambertin from clay and limestone soils. The vineyards are over 60 years old.

WINE SHIPPING

The cost of shipping varies depending on what shipping option buyer selects as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate UPS shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. 

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
