Yannick Doyard took the helm in 1979 and his son Guiillaume has since taken over. They farm from the family's original domaine in Vertus, as well as sourcing their fruit from several Grand Cru villages. The family's focus on viticulture includes biodynamic farming. Plots are worked by horse and the yields are kept low making for a wine intense in style. Their Champagnes also spend at least 48 months on their lees The goal of Champagne Doyard is to make the most expressive terroir-driven wines possible. For this, we love their attention to detail. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSourced from 45 year old vines strewn from many of the family's plots in the Cotes de Blancs. Several of the vineyards come from Grand Cru villages in Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize, and Cramant.
