Bénédicte et Stéphane Tissot are a powerhouse winemaking couple based out of Arbois in the Jura region. Their perspective plays vital to the style of their wine. They favor natural wines as opposed to industrial ones, and wines that show off nature’s gifts versus winemaking. Their wines have been certified biodynamic by Demeter. Many of Jura’s wines go for an oxidative style; their wines are not this. They prefer a reductive style, the opposite of the local style. Their love is shown by their passion and their drive to make several different wines.

Traminer is an old, local name for Savagnin (bearing no relation to Sauvignon Blanc). It is one of Jura’s signature varieties. This wine is “topped up,” meaning the ageing vessel is filled to leave no space at the top for oxidation and bottled after six months. This drinks with a sincere freshness and a lingering waxiness on the finish.

WINE SHIPPING VIA USPS / UPS

The cost of shipping varies depending on which shipping option the buyer selects, as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. 

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.
