THE NATURALS

3 BOTTLES FOR $85

Natural wine starts in the vineyard and ends in the cellar. the idea is to make a wine without makeup; it’s all about what is not being added to the juice. wine can shine in its most pure form when nothing is masking its identity. though natural wine requires is a hands-off approach, it often requires even more attention to detail ensuring the end result is balanced. these three bottles celebrate low-intervention through three delicious takes.

WHITES WITH TEXTURE

3 BOTTLES FOR $105

When white wine is a blank canvas, there are infinite opportunities for the pleasure that is texture. the artist behind the canvas is the winemaker who uses the tools that surround them, and those tools allow for texture. textures can be sleek and icy, creamy and buttery, rich and waxy, or fuzzy and grippy. the sensation of texture makes wine such a no-brainer when it comes to food pairing. texture gives these white wines their personality.

ORANGE WINE, SKIN CONTACT

3 BOTTLES FOR $85

The wave of orange wine has captured the palates of wine drinkers worldwide and in a fairly short time frame over the last five years. Historically speaking, this wine category has been around for hundreds of years, and a few producers championed the revival of white grapes made by elevaging ( to raise ) them on their skins. In short— making white wine in the manner that you would make red. The current trend has been embraced by the natural wine scene, some with proper technique in winemaking and some without. We find these three wines to showcase what we love about great producers making great wine, and each bottle showcases the aromatic and textural complexity that happens with skin contact.

THE TANNINS

3 BOTTLES FOR $185

Tannin expresses itself in various ways when you drink. it is less of a flavor and more of a feeling. not unlike coffee or tea, tannin speaks through its texture. you can feel this on your tongue, teeth, and even the roof of your mouth. the sensations they impart can be silky and velvety, or even grippy and rugged. Tannin is naturally derived from grape skins and stems, and even oak. it allows the wine to have identity, to age gracefully, and pique your interest as you get to know it in your glass.
