      Variety: Barbera and Nebbiolo

      Carlo Nada bought the Rombone farm, located in the Treiso commune of Piedmont, in 1921. He immediately planted vines and began to produce wine. Only one of his seven children, Fiorenzo, caught Carlo’s passion for wine. Initially, Fiorenzo discontinued his father’s winemaking business, focusing instead on selling grapes to local merchants. Fiorenzo’s son Bruno convinced his father to return to the winemaking business, and in 1982 they launched Azienda Agricola Nada Fiorenzo. Fourth-genera- tion Danilo Nada was born into a thriving winegrowing business. Today, 80-something Fiorenzo is still involved in working the vineyards. Bruno is head winemaker, while Danilo is learning the business alongside his father and grandfather.

      The “Seifile” is at once silky and rich, well-balanced and structured for aging. Acidity is bright and expressive. Flavors of dark fruit and tar mark its provenance from the Treiso commune in Barbaresco territory.

      WINE SHIPPING

      The cost of shipping varies depending on what shipping option buyer selects as well as destination and number of bottles. The appropriate UPS shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. 

      In the case of shipments outside of Ohio, the sole responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests with the customer. 

      It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. In the event a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser, or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, Hart & Cru reserves the right to charge purchaser the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or re-shipping to the same address.

      Variety: Nebbiolo

      Bruno Nada is the son of a vine-grower who, typical of his generation, initially had little interest in farming and left home to study, first in Turin, then in Asti and eventually wound up as a teacher in the Hotel Institute of Barolo. While his interest in farming may not have been extraordinary, his interest in wine was, and he constantly took courses and read books in an attempt to further his knowledge in the field. The more he studied, the more he developed a passion for his home, the Cascina Rombone, near Treiso in the southern reaches of the Barbaresco region.
